About us

Our Technique

Our handmade ceramics are created using refractory ceramic clay, which is shaped on a pottery wheel and later coated with a white engobe (mixture of kaolin, argil, and silica sand).  The engobed ceramic products are then hand carved using clay carving tools to form a relief and fired in a kiln at 1010 °C. In the final stage, the ceramics are hand painted using lead-free under-glaze colors and oxides, coated with a clear ceramic glaze, and passed through a second firing cycle, at same temperatures, in order to obtain the end result.
